Method Description

Beet Curly Top Virus (BCTV) is a single-stranded circular DNA virus that can infect a wide range of hosts. Symptoms of infection include leaf curling, yellowing, and stunting. BCTV can be spread to other plants by vector of the beet leafhopper insect. Viral DNA can be detected in both symptomatic and asymptomatic plant tissue through RT-qPCR methods
